Brand your popular shrimp paste as "Belacan Iboi", Nancy advises folks of Kampung Iboi



SIMUNJAN, Oct 28, 2016 - Batang Sadong member of parliament Datuk Nancy Shukri today urged  folks of Kampung Iboi to take advantage of the  popularity of their shrimp paste by branding it under one name - "Belacan Iboi" -  to generate more income for themselves.

Kenyah Badengs from Long Lawen have proved that they can build their own micro-hydro on their own



BELAGA, Oct 28, 2016 - Kenyah Badengs of Long Lawen have proved that they can build their micro-hydro on their own to generate a 24-hour electricity without the help of the government.

Headman Gara Jalong was proud to explain to the visitors from Baram that Long Lawen’s micro-hydro is a major success story as it has been running without major disruption since its operation in 2002.

SEB signing an ageement with General Electric and Sinohydro for the construction of a RM1b 400MW gas turbine plant



KUCHING, Oct 28, 2016 - State Government-owned utility and energy development company, Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) yesterday signed an agreement for the construction of the 400 MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Block at Tanjung Kidurong, Bintulu with giants General Electric (GE) and Sinohydro.

Baram Conservation Initiative launched
