KUCHING, June 26, 2017: Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Abang Openg has dismissed as nothing a call for him to convene an emergency meeting of the State Assembly to address what an opposition member had claimed a crisis had cropped up after the court's decision to reinstate Dr Ting Tiong Choon as the Pujut State Assemblyman.

Dialogue on NCR land moves to TR Berendam anak Seliang longhouse on July 8



KUCHING, June 24, 2017 - Following the success of a forum on NCR land held in March, Dayak National Institute (DANI) and  Dayak Dudong Association (PDD) are planning to hold a dialogue with landowners at the longhouse of headman Berendam anak Seliang in Durin Kiba, near Sibu, next month.

Sarawak Energy extends relief assistance to Uma Badeng fire victims



BINTULU, June 22, 2017 -  Sarawak Energy  Berhad (SEB) joined other concerned agencies extending its immediate relief assistance to 100 villagers of Uma Badeng in Sungai Koyan Bakun Resettlement Scheme, in Belaga, following a fire that razed their longhouse two days ago.

KUCHING, June 22, 2017 - A Bill to define pemakai menoa (territorial domain) and communal forest reserves (pulau galau) as native customary rights land in the Sarawak Land Code is expected to be tabled in the November session of the Sarawak state assembly.
