Uggah should expedite amendments to land code before more Dayaks losing their customary rights land

This week, the indigenous people of Sarawak have lost at
least seven cases in the Court of Appeal on the issue of their native customary
rights to land based on the concept of pemakai menoa and pulau galau.

KUCHING, July 11, 2017: Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr
James Masing said that Samling Group of Companies has agreed to do maintenance
work on a potholes-filled 80km Long Luping-Ba'Kelalan road into a gravel road
at a cost of RM36 million.

Re-instate Section 5 (2) (f) of the Land Code to give force of law to claims over pemakai menoa, pulau galau, urges PBDSB Youth
KUCHING, July 7, 2017 - The state government has been
urged to reinstate Section 5 (2) (f) of
the Sarawak Land Code Chapter 81 to solve the complications over pemakai menoa
and pulau galau faced by the natives in establishing their Native Customary
Rights (NCR) claims.
