Mahathir Mohamad, Zaid Ibrahim and now Mansor Zakaria are not the only ones who have negative narratives on Sarawak and Sabah.

It is safe to assume that they are many of them in Malaya who keep on insulting and looking down at the people of these two regions.
And there are also many Malayans who simply believe them, without bothering to find out the actual facts and the historical backgrounds of Sarawak and Sabah.
It is little wonder that there are a growing number of Sarawakians and Sabahans having a very low view on the Malayans.
Don’t blame the Sarawakians and Sabahans. They did not start it. The fault lies with some Malayan politicians who instigated the ordinary Malayans to have a negative perceptions on Sarawakians and Sabahans.
Of course, not all Malayan politicians are looking down at Sarawak and Sabah. Political leaders like Anwar Ibrahim, Anthony Loke and Zahid Ahmad Hamidi have been good to Sarawak and Sabah.
We cannot deny of their contributions not only to Sarawak and Sabah, but also to the rest of the country.
Mahathir’s twisted logic described both Sarawak and Sabah as very poor before they formed the Federation of Malaysia in 1963.
And he went on to insult Sarawak, saying that Sarawak did not have any oil and gas industry before 1963.
For the information of Mahathir’s 100-year mind, Sarawak’s oil and gas industry, in fact, started in 1910 in Miri. So, you see, Mahathir, how wrong you are.
When it comes to anti-Petros rhetoric, Zaid Ibrahim’s name is top on the list.
He has repeatedly said that Petros should not be given the role of sole gas aggregator in Sarawak as such a move could affect Petronas's commercial competitiveness and undermine the country's federal structure.
Zaid claimed that if Petros is given exclusive authority to aggregate gas, it will not only raise questions in terms of legality, but could also be an early example of state governments controlling federal revenue.
He is dead wrong. Sarawak started drilling oil in Miri in 1910. The oil and gas industry was and still is governed by the Oil Mining Ordinance 1958.
OMO is a Sarawak state law that regulates oil and gas mining within the state, including its continental shelf, and grants the state the authority to issue licenses and leases.
It has been in effect since its inception and was amended in 2018 to strengthen the state's control over the oil and gas industry, requiring companies like Petronas to comply with state-level licensing and fees.
OMO is considered valid and continues to operate alongside the federal Petroleum Development Act 1974, particularly after constitutional amendments recognized the special status of Sarawak and Sabah in Malaysia.
So, Zaid - you are definitely wrong. Being a seasoned lawyer, you should know.
Then we have the latest political idiot who made fun of the Sabahans with his Gardenia bread remark,
Mansor Zakaria thought it was funny to insult the Sabahans?
His remark is seen as generally reflective of how Pas politicians think of Sabah and Sarawak.
His Gardenia bread remark was most insulting and in poor taste, to say the lest.
He is not an ordinary Pas politician. He is Kedah’s Housing, Health and Local Government executive committee member. So, his remark carries weight, especially among Pas supporters.
What is worst is that he insulted Sabahans at the Kedah state assembly sitting. He has no shame because he even smiled when he spat out the remark.
He thought it was funny to spit out that winning over the people of Sabah at the state election was "as simple as giving them Gardenia bread".
Let’s us all pray for the Pas candidates contesting in the Sabah election not only lose, but also lose their election deposits.
This is the way to teach Pas and their shameless leaders a lesson that they will not forget for the rest of the natural lives.
