PAKAN, October 5, 2017 - Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS)
secretary general Datuk Joseph Salang today advised members to let party
president Tan Sri Dr James Masing to pick its candidates for the coming general
election.

He said Masing should be given a free hand to decide on
choices of candidates for the party to stand under the Barisan Nasional's
symbol.
"Let us stop arguing over the issue," he said,
referring to calls for PRS deputy president Datuk Joseph Entulu Belaun to be
replaced in Selangau.
Salang, who is also the Julau MP, said non-members are
taking advantage of the situation to create confusion in the party.
Salang, along with Datuk Aaron Dagang, Datuk Masir Kujat
and Datuk Wilson Ugak, have been confirmed to defend their respective seats in
the GE14.
Entulu and Lubok Antu incumbent Datuk William Nyallau,
however, have yet to be endorsed by Masing as candidates defending their seats.
Speaking at the opening of PRS Pakan division annual
meeting here, Salang warned members against forming cliques that can eventually
lead to the weakening and disuniting the party.
He said any attempt to form cliques must be nipped in the bud.
He said PRS members should take a look at PBB members who
have remained united because they do not form cliques.
He said PBB members are well disciplined and will abide
to any decisions made by their president.
