KUCHING, Sept 6 2026: From as high as 519 level three days ago, the air quality index (API) reading in Serian has gone down to a 183 level as at 9am this morning.
Any API reading exceeding 500 is categorised as very hazardous while the API readings of between 100 and 200, it is classified as unhealthy.
The weather monitoring stations show five areas as having a very unhealthy air quality level.
The areas are Lubok Antu (237), Kuching (229), Lundu (217), Simanggang (216) and Kanowit (214).
The air quality in Kapit (98) and Bario (75) showing a moderate level.
