KUCHING, July 29 2026: Governor Tun Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar this morning received a courtesy call from Premier Abang Johari Openg at the Astana Negeri.
The routine visit was held in conjunction with the pre-Cabinet session ahead of the State Cabinet meeting to seek approval and to be briefed on the main agenda and consideration papers of the state government administration.
During the meeting, which lasted for almost an hour, the premier also provided information on the latest developments in the implementation of the state's strategic policies, socio-economic development initiatives, as well as ongoing measures to ensure the well-being of the people of Sarawak.
In a Facebook post, the governor said :”I also gave my views on the direction of Sarawak's development and expressed confidence in the efforts of the state government under the leadership of the premier in driving the state towards a developed and prosperous state.”
