BN man taking advantage of poor Bidayuh farmers, alleges Willie Tumek

A PKR leader has accused a "BN man" of having no moral for taking advantage of the poor Bidayuh farmers, desperately looking for money for their children's studies in universities.

"Based on my experience, the poor Bidayuh farmers would approach you and offer to sell their NCR land at a certain price they name.

"I have been approached by the Bidayuh farmers who wanted to sell their land to me. But I refused because I knew it was morally wrong to buy their land when they were in need of money for their children's education.

"However, this BN man thought differently. He pretended that he has so much land and does not need anymore land, but willing to buy the land at a much lower price than that offered by the farmers.

"The farmers have no choice because they do not have any money to send their children to universities, so they sell their land to this BN man," alleged Willie Tumek at a press conference today.

He said most of the NCR land bought by the BN man have been planted with oil palm within the Sarawak Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority's (Salcra) in Bratak and Undan estates.

"As a result, this BN man is the single largest recipient of dividends from Salcra. Based on my information, he received about RM1million,"Willie said.
