The NGOs included Journalists Association of Kuching Division and Sarawak Women for Women Society and the political parties were the women wings of Sarawak United People's Party and Sarawak PKR.
Minister of Welfare, Women and Family Development Minister Datuk Fatimah Abdullah and Sarawak PKR chief Baru Bian were among those present.
The girl's guardian Rosmiati Abdullah and her father Buan anak Kira were among those at the Walk Against Rape rally today.
On May 7, Bunya anak Jalong was acquitted by the Court of Appeal on four charges of raping a 15-year old student in 2011 due to lack of evidence.

The court said inserting a finger, tainted with semen, was not rape.
Based on evidence, Bunya inserted his finger into the girl's vagina.
The girl, now 19 years, gave birth to a boy on Feb 5, 2012
