KUCHING, June 26, 2017 - Toh Puan Raghad Al-Kurdi, wife
of Head of State Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud, was
a class of her own when she came to the stage to sing an old Malay number by
the late P. Ramlee at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching today.
Toh Puan Raghad Al-Kurdi Taib, with Datuk Sri
Sulaiman Mahmud Taib singing "Tanya Sama Hati" to entertain guests at
the Borneo Convention Centre Kuchin.
Needless to say, her singing prowess mesmerised visitors
at BCCK where Chief Minister Datuk Amar
Abang Johari Tun Abang Openg and his wife Datin Amar Juma'ani Tun Tuanku Bujang were holding their Hari Raya open
house.
She and her stepson Datuk Seri Sulaiman Mahmud Taib, sang
"Tanya Sama Hati", much to the delight of the visitors.
Raghad was accompanying her
husband paying a visit to the chief
minister and Juma'ani.
About 15 minutes into the
visit, Abang Johari came to the stage to announce that Raghad would entertain
the guests at the BCCK with the P.
Ramlee number.
It is safe to say that Taib has
a great influence on her as he has been P. Ramlee's fan since the 1950s.
