Sarawak CM leading state delegation for a week-long study visit to Victoria, Tasmania



MELBOURNE, Australia, July 25, 2017 - Chief Minister Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Abang Openg arrived early here this morning  to lead a state delegation for a weeklong study visit to the State of Victoria and Tasmania.

Soon he and members of his delegation visited the Siemens plant where they were given  briefings by officials of Siemens and Swinburne University on digitalisation and the quest towards Industry 4.0.

In the afternoon they visited the State Control Centre of Emergency Management Victoria where all the services of relevant agencies are managed and brought together in response to emergencies.

The delegation include State Secretary Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohammad Morshidi Abdul Ghani, chairman of SEDC Tan Sri Datuk Amar  Abdul Aziz Hussain, Deputy State Secretary Datuk Sabariah Putit, Acting State Financial Secretary Datuk  Laura Lee and a number of senior officers of the state government and local universities.

Later, they proceeded to the Telstra Innovation Lab to gain insights into the company’s growth, development and innovation programme.
