SIMANGGANG, March 14 2026: Three persons were seriously injured while the car they were travelling in was badly damaged in a head-on collision with a lorry at Simpang Engkilili this afternoon.
Simanggang Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), in a statement, said it received a call about the road crash at 1.35pm from a member of the public.
It said upon the arrival of the Bomba team, it was found that there was an accident involving a Perodua Alza car and a lorry.
“There were three victims inside the Perodua Alza. One man was successfully removed by members of the public and is receiving treatment from medical team while the two others, nboth women, are still in the vehicle, “ Simanggang Bomba said.
The firemen then removed the two women who were still stuck in the front seat using special rescue tools and stretchers.
“Both victims were then given initial treatment before all victims were sent to the hospital using the Ministry of Health ambulance,” it said.
