KANOWIT, OCT 7 2026 — Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) Ngemah Division said it will oppose any nomination representing Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS-PRS) for the constituency if the candidate is not a member of the party and is not a voter within the constituency.

The division affirmed that Anyi Jana has the full and unanimous support to be retained as GPS-PRS candidate for in 13th Sarawak state election.
"This stance represents a unanimous decision reached during the meeting and reflects the position of the leadership and machinery of the division," said a statement posted by Pusat Khidmat Masyarakat ADUN N.49 Ngemah on its Facebook post.
The statement said the meeting reaffirmed the stance and solid commitment of its entire leadership and grassroots in supporting the leadership of GPS and PRS, as well as upholding the party's right to determine the candidate for Ngemah State Legislative Assembly (SLA) constituency.
It said the meeting, chaired by Anyi, chairman of the Ngemah Division and incumbent State Legislative Member (SLM) for Ngemah, was attended by the division leadership as well as members of the main committee, Women wing and Youth wing.
The meeting also expressed the division's full support for Abang Johari Openg as the premier and John Sikie Tayai as party president and Minister in the Premier's Department.
The statement said the support reflects the division's stance to remain aligned with the GPS leadership in pursuing the development agenda and upholding the interests of the people of Sarawak.
