The exhibition,  entitled Art Galleria 2016, featured a variety of canvas paintings from the students, staff and alumni from LCIT's Faculty of Design Innovation and Faculty of Multimedia Creativity.

According to Art Galleria 2016 project manager Wong Yee Lin, the exhibition is to create awareness and instil appreciation towards arts among the public.

"Various art-related events have been held in the City lately, indicating that there is an increasing interest towards arts among folks of Kuching," she said, hoping that the exhibition would be able to give an opportunity for the public to appreciate arts.

Apart from the paintings,  a live demonstration was also held by the graphic design students Elrene Kian and Emilia Ting.

Paintings by an international award winning artist Dr Emmanuel Osakue, who is also a lecturer at LCIT, were also exhibited and offered for sale.

Visitors to the exhibition were also entertained with performances by LCIT's band "Strangers" and "Wake Me Earlier" and "Meruked",  a local traditional modern fusion band whose members are alumni of LCIT.
