But there are indications to show that there could be other locations entering the very unhealthy category as there are evidences to show that the winds from the burning Kalimantan are blowing into Sarawak.

As at 8am today, the air pollutant index (API) reading in Samarahan has gone up from 205 as at 10pm last night to 226 level at 8am this morning.

The API reading in Lundu has also gone up from 189 last night to 224 at 8am while the API reading in Kanowit has jumped from the unhealthy level of 189 to very unhealthy level of 219.

The API reading in Serian was registered at an unhealthy level of 193 at 8am this morning from 189 level at 10pm last night.

The API reading in Sarikei was at 194 (up from 186 at 10pm last night), Lubok Antu 194 (down from 209 at 10pm last night) Kuching 192 (up from 186 at 10pm) and Simanggang 183 (down from 205 at 10pm).

In other words, the API readings in Sarawak are fluctuating, depending on the winds from Kalimantan, which has been burning for weeks.

The air quality in Kapit (92) and Bario (60) has remained in the moderate category.
