Sarawak State Election: I accept any decision made by PBB leadership on the choice of candidate for Kuala Rajang constituency, says Len

SARIKEI, Oct 25 2026: Incumbent Kuala Rajang State Legislative Member (SLM) Len Talif Salleh explained that he will respect any decision made by PBB leadership regarding candidate selection for the constituency in the upcoming state election for the sake of the party and the people.

Len, who is also Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment and PBB vice president, stressed that he values the trust placed in him to serve the constituency over three terms spanning 15 years.

He said he stands ready to accept whatever decision the top party leadership makes, while remaining prepared to continue his service if given the trust once more.

“I am still ready to continue serving if given the mandate once again, particularly to ensure that ongoing development plans can be completed for the benefit of local residents,” he said when met by the media after officiating the closing of the Legal Advocacy Programme on the Domestic Violence Act 1994 at the Sarawak government administration office, Sarikei Division yesterday.

Len noted that candidate renewal is part of PBB's established practice, giving new leaders the opportunity to shoulder responsibilities and drive the development agenda in line with current needs.

He expressed his appreciation to Premier Abang Johari Openg for the trust accorded to him throughout his tenure as SLM.

He also emphasised that continuity in Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) leadership remains crucial to ensuring the state’s development agenda, particularly the execution of high-impact projects, can proceed uninterrupted for the benefit of the people.
