SIBU, July 26 2026: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) secretary general Alexander Nanta Linggi believed that 25 per cent of the party’s preparation for the coming state election has already begun, with the conclusion of the PBB central zone special convention today.

He said the central zone convention is the first of four such convention fixed for this year.
“Every delegate must return with the same message: we must be united, disciplined and committed to continuing to help chart the path for a prosperous Sarawak under the administration of Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) with PBB as its backbone,” Nanta, who is Kapit MP and Works Minister, said in his Facebook post.
He said Premier Abang Johari Openg, who is also PBB president, in his opening speech at the central zone convention, has emphasised the importance of cooperation among party members in moving as a team and subsequently using wisdom in continuing the development of Sarawak.
“I really appreciate the message he delivered in front of about 3,000 delegates representing 24 PBB branches in the central zone.
“The presence of all proves the commitment, loyalty and high spirit of struggle to strengthen the party and continue the development of Sarawak,” Nanta said.
As organizing committee chairman, he also expressed hisdeepest appreciation to all the committees, staff and members of PBB who have worked hard to ensure that this convention runs smoothly.
