MIRI, July 14 2026: A 21-year old youth was killed in a road incident involving a car he was driving and a lorry trailer at Jalan Kuala Baram yesterday afternoon.
He was confirmed dead by paramedics from the Ministry of Health (Mo) before being handed over to the police for further action.
Lutong Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), in a statement, said it received a call at 2.15pm from a member of the public, informing that the road crash occurred in front of a supermarket in Jalan Kuala Baram.
Upon arrival of the rescue team, it was found that the driver was still trapped in the driver's seat.
The team then extracted the youth and was certified dead by the MoH medical officer at the scene.
The victim was then handed over to the police for further action.
