BELAGA, Oct 28, 2016 - Kenyah Badengs of Long Lawen have proved that they can build their micro-hydro on their own to generate a 24-hour electricity without the help of the government.

Headman Gara Jalong was proud to explain to the visitors from Baram that Long Lawen’s micro-hydro is a major success story as it has been running without major disruption since its operation in 2002.

SEB signing an ageement with General Electric and Sinohydro for the construction of a RM1b 400MW gas turbine plant

KUCHING, Oct 28, 2016 - State Government-owned utility and energy development company, Sarawak Energy Berhad (SEB) yesterday signed an agreement for the construction of the 400 MW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Block at Tanjung Kidurong, Bintulu with giants General Electric (GE) and Sinohydro.

Sarawak Energy adopts three turtle conservation areas administered by Sarawak Forestry Corporation

KUCHING, August 28, 2016-   Sarawak Energy Berhad, the state's sole electricity provider, will provide an alternative solar scheme to three turtle conservation areas administered by the Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC).

Under the scheme, SEB will adopt Pulau Talang Talang Kechil, Pulau Talang Talang Besar and Tanjung Datu National Parks under its corporate social responsibility programme.
