Covid-19 infections have spread to all districts in Sarawak

KUCHING, March 5 - Covid-19 infections have spread to all the districts as Sarawak recorded  1,455 today, according to the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee in its latest updates on the Covid-19 situation.

Only Julau and Beluru districts do not any Covid-19 cases today.

However, Julau recorded two cases yesterday and five two days ago.

Beluru last recorded one Covid-19 case on March 2.

Kuching district continues to record high number of Covid-19 cases, with 479 today, down from 548 registered yesterday.

Miri district comes second with 254 cases (198 yesterday), Sibu district registers 213 (184) and Bintulu 117 cases (76).

SDMC said 1,448 of the cases are in categories one and two, meaning patients do no display any symptoms or with mild symptoms.

Only seven of the cases are in categories three, four and five.

SDMC said to-date, Sarawak has recorded 266,411 Covid-19 cases.

Sarawak recorded one death today, that of a 60-year old woman from Kapit district.

She was having a high blood pressure and suffering from chronic kidney failure.
