She said the success achieved by the party so far does not only depend on the party's leadership, but is also supported by a machinery that is organised, efficient and always close to the people.
"The women's machinery is one of the backbones of the party's strength. That is why we need to continue to maintain our performance and commitment in carrying out our responsibilities to the people," she said when speaking at the Simpulan Kasih Dinner at the Kampung Seberang Sarikei Multipurpose Hall yesterday.
She said PBB is in a strong position to continue to gain the people's support because it has a clear leadership with a direction and always focuses on the development of the state.
Fatimah said that the leadership of Premier Abang Johari Openg has brought about various positive changes that have contributed to progress and increased Sarawak's recognition at the national and international levels.
She added that the GPS government's record of achievements in developing the state is also the basis for the people's confidence in the coalition.
"The people have seen for themselves the various developments and initiatives implemented by the government. That is why the trust given must continue to be maintained through continuous work and service," Fatimah, who is also the Minister of Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development, said.
In the meantime, he stressed that the strength of GPS cannot be separated from the role of PBB as the core party in the coalition.
In this regard, she called on every party member to continue to strengthen internal unity and ensure that the machinery is always ready to face any challenges in the future.
She added that the support enjoyed by the people currently needs to be translated into continuous service so that PBB and GPS continue to remain relevant and become the choice of the Sarawak people.
