KUCHNG, Dec 18, 2014: The dispute between two Bidayuh
villages affected by the Bengoh Dam and the government has been settled out of
court following a consent order granted by High Court judge Rodzariah Bujang
this morning.
A venue to express opinions and views on social issues, native customary rights land, cultures and traditions of the Dayak community as well as to voice out the problems and grievances of the indigenous and rural communities.

SEB quashes reports that it has started building Baram dam
KUCHING, Dec 17, 2014: Sarawak Energy Berhad has not
begun any clearing or construction works for the Baram dam, but will do so once soil investigation work has been done,
comprehensive feasibility studies undertaken and Social and Environment Impact
Assessment (SEIA) reports have been completed, it said in a statement today.
Even then, the approval to go ahead with the construction
must be obtained first from the State Government, it said.
